Raya Looks You Must Try
“Balik kampung.. ohhhh balik kampung” is what we all sing during the Raya Season. Besides gathering with loved ones and feasting on yummy ketupats, it’s also common tradition to wear new clothes for Hari Raya. Themed family outfits are common (and fun!), so here are a few you can start with!
Look 1: Florals
Florals are what you’ll see in almost all of the designers’ collections this year, and we’re not complaining. Whether you want something subtle or bold (think Zalia’s and Lubna’s 3D flowers!), we all can agree that this feminine print will add more life to your Raya OOTD game.

Look 2: Colour-Block
Colour-blocking is a fun way to incorporate more colours! If you’re not sure where to start, take a look at the colour wheel. If you pick red, a complementary colour would be green or yellow. But don’t let that be your only guide! Experiment around and try with prints if you’re feeling bold ;)
Look 3: Lace
If you’re not up for florals, maybe a little lace? They add a nice touch to your outfit, and can make you look elegant and demure. If you don’t want to don lace head-to-toe, a lace top or skirt still works. Besides, they’re great as statement pieces!
Look 4: Pastels
If bold prints or multi-coloured pieces aren’t your forté, try pastels! A classic choice would be apple green or turquoise, but don’t be afraid to choose other shades. For some extra zest, go with ruffles or flared sleeves to wow the guests in your Raya open house.

Look 5: Dark Tones
Not a fan of pastels or bright colours? Then this will be right up your alley. The great thing about darker shades is that it exudes classiness on its own, and all you need are a few accessories and heels to go with. A dark blue or a rich burgundy is a great place to start.
